Why choose Designmax instead of a full-time hire?
Senior designers often cost well over $180,000 a year once salary, benefits, and bonuses are included. A Designmax subscription lets you pause anytime, so you only pay for time you actually use.
How fast will I receive my designs?
Most tasks are delivered within 2–3 business days. Larger projects, such as full website designs or builds, are broken into milestones and delivered progressively. Progress updates are shared every couple days.
Who handles the design work?
Design work is handled directly by Max Bazler, the founder of Designmax. No subcontractors or anonymous production teams.
Which design tools are used?
Figma is the primary platform for most design requests. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are used for vector art and imagery. Webflow is used for website development.
What services are not offered?
Designmax does not cover the following types of design work:
- 3D modeling
- Illustration / hand-drawn artwork
- Animated graphics (GIFs, Lottie animations, etc.)
- Complex packaging design (multi-part dielines, compliance-heavy projects)
- Extensive document layout (medical forms, legal templates, tax docs, etc.)
- Adobe InDesign layouts (magazines, books, or catalogues)
What happens after I subscribe?
Within 24 hours, a private workspace is created. Requests can be added at any time. The process is fully async, with no kickoff calls required.
How should I submit a request?
You will be provided a design request form upon becoming a member. Each submission automatically creates a new card in your private board, keeping every request organized and easy to track.
Attach or link any helpful assets such as Google Docs, wireframes, Loom videos, or screenshots. If the request is clear and actionable, it can be designed.
Is there a limit on queued tasks?
No. You can submit as many design requests as you’d like. Requests are worked on one at a time, with priority handled by Designmax. If something is time-sensitive, you can flag it as a rush request to adjust the queue.
How are large projects handled?
Big projects, such as multi-page Webflow sites or complex prototypes are broken into milestones. You receive new updates every few days until the request is completed.
How does Webflow development work?
Webflow sites are treated like any other request. If Webflow supports the features you need, send a request in and the site will be built out. Once finished, it will be transferred to your own Webflow account. An active Designmax subscription is not required to keep the site live.
What if I do not like the first draft?
Revisions are unlimited while your subscription is active. Tasks are iterated upon until you are satisfied, no extra fees.
Can I pause the subscription?
Yes. You can pause your subscription at any time. Billing stops while paused, and any unused time is saved and available when you resume.
What if I only have one design request?
Subscribe, complete the project, pause the plan, and return when new work appears. Your remaining days will be ready when you are.
Can I cancel whenever I like?
Yes. A Designmax subscription is month-to-month with no long-term commitment.
Are refunds offered?
There is a 7-day risk-free period during your first month. If you decide the service is not a fit within that week, 80 percent of your payment will be refunded. Because of the nature of work, refunds are not available after the first seven days, and the risk-free trial applies only to your initial month, not to any months that follow.
